about

Written in 2006-2007, "I Lost a Sai" is the third of movie-to-song translations on the album. The protagonist pines away for his missing piece in the musical style of spacerock band Hum, and over a Pink Floyd-trolled bridge, where he must console his own Sensei, it is clear that by the end of the song, as the sorrow puns audibly in the final waltz, that his loss is permanent.

lyrics

I lost a sai
I can get it back
I didn't mean to lose a sai
But who would mean to lose a sai?

Master Splinter don't be upset
It's just the voices in your head
